NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Torquay Allotment Holders Co-Operative
Association Ltd will be held on:
Saturday 27th January 2024 at 11am.
Venue:
St Martins Church Hall, Barton Hill Road, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 8HU

In accordance with our rules, nominations, are now being invited for the posts of:
Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Section Stewards A, B, and C of Torquay Allotment Holders Co-operative Association Ltd.
If you wish to stand for the chair, secretary, treasurer, or a steward position, please enter your name on the nominee form attached. You must be nominated, seconded, and held membership for over 12 months.

Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Steward positions will be elected by a show of hands at our AGM.
The positions will be elected by a show of hands. No postal votes or proxy votes will be allowed, as set out by the FCA rules. You may only vote for the two stewards for A section, one steward for B section, and one from the C section. You must reside on either A, B or C to be nominated. Section members vote for their own section steward. If you have any proposals or agenda items for the upcoming AGM, please forward them to the secretary in writing or email.

Nominations, Proposals and Agenda items will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday 11th January 2024. All rules governing the election can be found on our website www.tahcal.co.uk
The Election of Minute Secretary, Show Secretary and Seed Secretary will be decided on the night of the AGM and again elected by a show of hands. The AGM is open to strictly members only.
Coming to the AGM is important so that you can share your views, support the association, and show your interest in ensuring we sustain the future of Torquay Allotment Holders Co-operative Association Ltd. Please do come along.

We will also email this notice out to members and we may also post this notice to you and within our WhatsApp group. In the meantime, we wish you a Happy New Year from all of us on the present Committee.
